About Us

Hi! I'm Heather.

In 2026, I stepped out of corporate America and started Avail Business Advisors to work directly with small business owners. 

​

I cut my teeth auditing public companies at a Big 4 accounting firm for 9 years before joining a long-term, buy and hold strategic acquirer for the next 11, where I led internal financial reporting and ultimately mergers & acquisitions. 

​

Avail was born from a deep compassion to help business owners be better prepared for whatever comes their way. After meeting with dozens and dozens of business owners and management teams over the years, I began to notice a consistent gap between business owner readiness and third-party expectations, with accounting and financial shortcomings at its core.

I decided it was time to put my long-held basic accounting skills to work to meet small business owners where they are but empower them to go anywhere!

I live in Andover, MN with my husband and son, and because I am outnumbered by men, spend a lot of time fishing and cooking! I love volunteering at my son's school and in our church community, and I can't ever get enough quality time with friends.
